the story
meet the church girl
Church Girl Hoodoo was born at the intersection of faith and folk tradition. at the crossroads of the Black church and the root worker's table. in the space where prayer meets practice, and where the sacred has always lived in the hands of the women who raised us.
i grew up in the Black church. i watched the mothers pray. i watched the aunties anoint. i watched the grandmothers lay hands and speak life and call things that were not as though they were. i didn't know what hoodoo was then. i just knew it worked.
years later, when i began to study the traditions behind the traditions, i found language for what i had always known. conjure. rootwork. hoodoo. the spiritual technology of my ancestors, hidden in plain sight inside hymns and home remedies and holy oil.
"i am a daughter of the Black church. a hoodoo practitioner. a liberation-centered teacher. and i am building sacred tools for the ones who are ready to remember."
Church Girl Hoodoo is not about selling products. it is about offering sacred tools for remembrance, reclamation, and return. every oil is a prayer. every water is a blessing. every tool is an invitation to come back home to yourself.
the aunties collection, our signature line of handcrafted conjure oils, is a tribute to the women who taught me what power looked like before i had language for it. living and legacy aunties. church mothers. wisdom keepers. prayer warriors. style icons. way-makers.
each oil is inspired by a woman who helped shape my understanding of faith, intuition, abundance, protection, confidence, love, and success. these are not simply fragrance oils. they are invitations into remembrance.
